On September 9, I was proud to join Barry Callebaut on stage at the annual SAP Forum in Belgium & Luxembourg to jointly receive the Gold SAP Quality Award 2015 in the Innovation category for Accenture’s implementation of Global HR/Talent Management processes, supported by SAP SuccessFactors.
Barry Callebaut is the world’s leading supplier of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products. With more than 9,300 employees in over 30 countries, Barry Callebaut is seeking an integrated and streamlined approach to talent management across its global operations and a more dynamic role for its HR organization enabled by the latest digital technologies. To support this business-driven integration project, impacting processes, applications, systems, organization and data, they have chosen SAP SuccessFactors, and Accenture is partnering with them on the implementation.
This project is a great example of the agility of SuccessFactors in a multi-country/multi-language environment, and the possibilities it offers for phased strategic transformation. At Barry Callebaut, the initial focus was implementing the Performance and Goal Management module and radically transforming the Recruiting process to create a new collaborative way of working that leverages social media to create a dynamic talent pool. A global recruiting center of expertise has also been established. A core HR platform with centralized employee profiles interfacing with payroll supports these and future modules that will include Learning Management. With SuccessFactors in place, Barry Callebaut can now continue building a dynamic, end-to-end talent management system for the future.
